Each column weighs about 35kg packed. Two people can carry it through standard doorways without equipment. If the freight elevator is out of service that day, it’s not a project-stopper.
Assembly: 20 Minutes, No Special Tools
The snap-fit system connects panels with interlocking tabs — hand pressure and a rubber mallet seat the connections. No drills. No welding. The sequence, step by step:
- Attach base feet to bottom panel — 4 screws, included hex key
- Snap left and right side panels into bottom panel slots
- Slide internal shelf divider into pre-molded grooves at the tier split point
- Insert door frames, snap into side panel channels
- Attach top panel — this locks the entire frame square
- Hang doors on hinge pins — lift-on design, no tools needed
- Install latch plates at desired lock position
- Check door alignment, adjust base feet for level if the floor is uneven

For a facility ordering 50 columns, in-house maintenance staff can handle assembly over a weekend. The key is doing the first one slowly and carefully — once you understand how the tabs interlock, the rest go quickly. Shipping: How They Travel
Domestic and international shipments follow the same packaging standard. Each column’s components are wrapped in moisture barrier film. High-density foam blocks protect all eight corners of the packed column. Outer packaging is 5-layer corrugated carton with strapping, palletized for orders of 10 or more columns.
Container capacity: a 20-foot container holds roughly 80–100 columns depending on tier configuration. A 40-foot HC holds 180–220. We provide loading plans before shipping so you can plan receiving logistics. For mixed orders — different tier configurations in the same container — we label each column with its tier, color, and lock type on the outside of the carton. Your receiving team won’t need to open boxes to sort them.
Customization: What’s Changeable
Standard options — no minimum order: Grey, Ocean Blue, or Clean White from stock. Door colors can mix within an order — blue doors on white frames, for example. Lock options: padlock hasp (standard), built-in combination lock, RFID reader, or coin-return mechanism.
Custom options — minimum quantities apply: Pantone-matched colors from 10 columns. Logo screen printing on doors from 20 columns, one-color print included. Installation Environment Requirements
ABS lockers are forgiving, but the floor matters. Surface should be level within 5mm across the column footprint — adjustable base feet compensate for minor unevenness, each foot has 15mm of adjustment. Wall anchoring is optional but recommended in seismic zones or high-traffic areas. Leave 50mm minimum between the locker top and ceiling for ventilation. Leave 100mm between columns for door swing clearance if units are placed back-to-back. If your floor has a significant slope — common in older buildings converted to gyms — let us know during quoting. We can supply extended base feet with up to 25mm of adjustment range at no extra charge.
After Your Order: What Ongoing Support Looks Like
The relationship doesn’t end when the container ships. We keep your door color formula, lock configuration, and custom specs on file permanently. Three years from now, when you add a new building wing and need 20 more columns to match the existing ones, send the original order number and we pull up the production record. Same color. Same hardware. Same everything. Replacement parts — doors, hinges, lock mechanisms, base feet — ship within 5 working days for standard items. For facilities with maintenance contracts, we recommend keeping one spare door and one spare lock mechanism per 20 columns. That covers 99% of incidents without tying up storage space. If a column gets hit hard enough to crack a panel — a forklift in a warehouse, a floor buffer that got away from the cleaning crew — the damaged panel unclips and a replacement clips in. No welding. No repainting. The column stays in service while the spare panel ships.

Q: What if a door gets damaged?
A: Replacement doors are stocked for 5+ years after purchase. Lift the damaged door off the hinge pins — no tools — hang the new one. 60 seconds.
Q: Do you offer installation service?
A: Most facilities use in-house maintenance staff — we provide detailed documentation. For projects over 100 columns, we can recommend local installation partners or discuss factory technician deployment.
Q: Can you include spare parts in the initial shipment?
A: Yes, and we recommend it. For any order over 20 columns, adding 1 spare door panel and 2 spare lock mechanisms costs a fraction of the total order but saves international courier costs later. We package spares in a labeled box that your facility manager can store and forget about until the day someone loses a key or a forklift clips a corner. Most facilities never touch the spares box. The ones that do are very glad it was included.
One more thing worth knowing: The flat-pack design means these lockers go where assembled steel units cannot — up narrow staircases, through standard door frames, into basement changing rooms with low clearance. If your facility has a challenging access path to the locker room, mention it during quoting. We adjust packaging and pallet configuration accordingly. No surcharge for this. A tight staircase should not determine what material your lockers are made of.
